Audiovisual Installation [2021]
REPIQUE is a work of computational art that proposes a dialectic about the processes of deconstruction and reconstruction based on the investigation of the connection, disconnection and reconnection between Salvador and the Recôncavo Baiano, represented by the collection and by the history of the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia. Taking, as a starting point, the fluid movement of the waters that bathe these two places that are (de/re)connected, some works from the MAM collection, history and sounds are decomposed and recomposed in a constant movement of peal that allows each pixel and noise carve your own path in a fluid virtual environment. During this route, just as the Paraguaçu River suffers interference from the weather on its path until it flows into Bahia de Todos-os-Santos, the “repiques” generated react in real time to the weather recorded at MAM.
